Introduction

SMEs have long been one of the important pillars of Hong Kong's commerce and industry, accounting for 98% of all registered businesses and employing over 60% of the workforce in the private sector. Their significance is undeniable. To promote the sustainable development of Hong Kong's SMEs, our association established the "Best SME's Award" and the "Best SME's Partner Award" in 2006, publicly recognizing and honoring the entrepreneurial spirit of award-winning SMEs and the partner companies that have provided strong support to them.

Meanwhile, in order to encourage the spirit of youth creativity and entrepreneurship and to recognize their innovative marketing ideas, our association, with the support of the "Bright Future Charitable Foundation", established the "Bright Future SME's Youth Creative Entrepreneurship Award" in 2014, to  strengthen their creative concepts and sustainable development.

In 2023, our Chamber established the "ESG Leading Enterprises Award" for encouraging companies to engage in ESG (Environmental Protection, Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance) and to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development, establishing an image of being a proactive promoter and practitioner of ESG. The award will be selected by a panel of judges from among the companies that have received the "Best SME's Partner Award" recognizing those that stand out the most in ESG practices with the "ESG Leading Enterprises Award" as a form of encouragement.
